Author Visits for Christian Schools
As a published children’s author and Christian, Andrew loves bringing stories to life in classrooms that share a foundation of faith and values. Andrew’s visits are warm, fun, and genuinely connect with students — while reflecting the same values your school community.
Andrew is based at Lake Macquarie and visits Christian and faith-based schools across the Hunter, Central Coast, Newcastle and beyond.
A Story Close to Home

Andrew’s book Eight at a Time, published by Signs Publishing, was written with exactly this audience in mind — a story families and schools in the Adventist and broader Christian community have welcomed warmly. It’s a story about caring for the oppressed and Andrew would love to combine the author visit with a fundraising opportunity for an organisation that helps look after the oppressed.
What a Visit Looks Like
Andrew’s author visits can be tailored to your objectives and often includes things like:
- Sharing one of Andrew’s stories and and having a brief age-appropriate discussion of the theme
- Interactive storytelling — students help create a story live, on the spot
- A behind-the-scenes look at how a picture book is written, illustrated and published
- Plenty of time for questions — kids love asking authors anything!
- We are made in the image of God and we are also creative
For early childhood and preschool groups, Andrew also offers shorter, puppet-led storytime sessions — perfect for little ones aged 2-5.
The presentations can be to a classroom or larger groups such as chapel services and the like.

- Moxie vs Cat Memes — Tiny Seed Publishing, soon to be released in the USA and Canada under the title, Moxie Goes Viral – A story about the value of giving our time and attention to the ones around us in a world where it’s so easy to be distracted by screens.
Book a Visit
Andrew would love to visit your school — particularly during Book Week (August) or for special literacy events throughout the year. Andrew is happy to send a complimentary signed copy of one of his books for your library so you can experience the stories firsthand before booking. So, what are you waiting for, all you have to do is ask!
